Ultramed are high-power ultraviolet lamps for cosmetic applications. A combination of metal halides gives these high-pressure lamps excellent performance in the UVA and UVB range. The interaction of reflectors and filters results in very high efficiency and enables short irradiation time. This is advantageous to customers, who achieve quicker and more intense tanning, and also to the owners of tanning studios, who can increase the frequency of use of their equipment.
